INDUSTRIA, an investment manager specializing in residential real estate, is relocating within Frankfurt to a revitalized existing building owned by the Becken Group. The recently signed lease is a green lease with a term of ten years. The move is expected to take place in the first half of 2024. INDUSTRIA will vacate its current location in Bockenheim at the IBC on Theodor-Heuss-Allee 74. The leased space totals 4,365 square meters. This is spread across two properties that are part of a complex revitalized by Becken in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen. The INDUSTRIA spaces are located in a historic building built around 1900, as well as in an existing property—known as “House 15”—dating from 1980. With this, Becken has achieved full occupancy of the office complex, which also includes a third property that has already been leased to the City of Frankfurt. This lease agreement—also a Green Lease—was signed for five years.
Thomas Wirtz, Managing Director of INDUSTRIA, comments: "I am delighted that we have been able to secure attractive new premises for our company. INDUSTRIA can continue to grow at the new location, as it still has space reserves."
Arnaud Ahlborn, Managing Director of INDUSTRIA, adds: "With the move, we are finally completing the separation from our former owner Degussa Bank by leaving the joint location in the IBC. The move also marks a further stage in our integration into the Becken Group. I am very pleased about the architecturally sophisticated rooms in the listed old building and in House 15, embedded in an attractive garden."
Jens Hogekamp, Managing Director of Becken Development und Asset Management GmbH, says: "The office complex in Schreyerstrasse, which we revitalized with our manage-to-green expertise, combines tradition and modernity. We can thus offer INDUSTRIA a location that is being carefully and sustainably renovated and expanded both inside and out in terms of energy efficiency in consultation with the heritage protection authority."
Dieter Becken, Managing Partner of Becken Holding GmbH, says: "We are delighted that INDUSTRIA has chosen one of our most important existing buildings as its new headquarters. This further strengthens and continues our solidarity and partnership."
The façade of the listed old building and the windows were renovated in line with the historical model. The energy-efficient renovation of the façade of House 15 will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023, as will the commissioning of the photovoltaic system on House 15. The protected rear park with its historic fountain and pavilion will be prepared for the next growing season and will offer the new users a high quality of stay in the outdoor area of the office ensemble. A parking area with e-charging stations has been created in the inner courtyard for electric cars and bicycles.
