When you use this website, we automatically collect and store certain data. This includes: the IP address or device ID assigned to the relevant device, which we require to transmit the content you have requested (e.g. in particular content, text, images and product information, as well as files made available for download, etc.), the type of device, the URL of the previously visited website, the browser type and operating system used, and the date and time of use.This data processing is carried out to enable the use of the website. Where applicable, these processing operations may also be carried out by service providers acting on our behalf as data processors.
In addition, we retain this information for a maximum of 7 days for the purposes of detecting and investigating misuse.

We will retain your application documents for 6 months following the conclusion of the relevant recruitment process.
The data is processed on the basis of statutory provisions which permit data processing because it is necessary for the conduct of the recruitment process (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR and Section 26(1) of the BDSG).
When you apply to us, we will add your first name, surname and date of birth, details of the relevant vacancy, and the date of your application for that vacancy to our applicant database so that we can recognise you should you apply again in the future.
The data is processed on the basis of legal provisions which permit data processing, as we have a legitimate interest in ensuring the consistency and efficiency of the application process, provided that this is not overridden by the overriding interests of the data subjects (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
You can forward job descriptions to other people. This is done via your email account. Only a link to the relevant job description is sent.

Press section
To gain access to the restricted press area of our website, you must send us an email to one of the addresses listed there, stating your name, job title and, where applicable, your current employer. We process this information solely for the purpose of verifying whether we can accredit you for the press area. If the verification is successful, we will send a password to the email address you have provided. You can use this password to log in to the press area in future.The processing of data is carried out on the basis of statutory provisions which permit data processing, as it is necessary to enable the individually requested access to the press section of our website (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR), and because we have a legitimate interest in regulating access to press content and material accordingly, provided that this is not overridden by the overriding interests of the data subjects (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).

Contact
When you send us an enquiry, we process your name, address, email address and any other details you provide for the purpose of dealing with your enquiry and in case of any follow-up questions.We may forward your enquiry to our affiliated companies and sales partners where necessary, provided this is required to process and respond to your enquiry, for example where your enquiry relates to a specific project (e.g. enquiries regarding purchase or rental). The processing of your data is carried out on the basis of legal provisions that permit data processing, as it is necessary for the processing of your enquiry (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR).
Once we have provided a final response to your enquiry, we will delete your enquiry and any information relating to its processing three years after the end of the relevant calendar year.

Embedded third-party content
We have also incorporated content from third-party providers on our website. This content is loaded from the servers of the respective providers, meaning that your device transmits certain technically necessary data to the third-party provider. In particular, it cannot be ruled out that these providers may be able to identify the IP address assigned to you. Where personal data is processed by the third-party provider in this context, this is done in accordance with the privacy policies of the respective third-party providers. On this website, data is collected and stored using SalesViewer® technology provided by SalesViewer® GmbH for marketing, market research and optimisation purposes, based on the website operator’s legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).To this end, JavaScript-based code is used to collect company-related data and for the corresponding purposes. The data collected using this technology is encrypted using a one-way function that cannot be reversed (known as hashing). The data is immediately pseudonymised and is not used to personally identify visitors to this website.

8. Use of the ‘Trusty’ whistleblower scheme
We use an in-house web-based whistleblowing system called ‘Trusty’, which is provided by Trusty AG, Riedstrasse 7, 6330 Cham, Switzerland, and operated on our behalf. In accordance with a decision by the European Commission, Switzerland has an adequate level of data protection (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A32000D0518).
Trusty is designed to receive and process information about suspected breaches and malpractice within our organisation in a secure and confidential manner. The use of Trusty is voluntary on the part of the whistleblower.
The following personal data is processed in this context:• The whistleblower’s personal data, if provided: full name, address, email address, telephone number, relationship to Becken;
• personal data of individuals suspected of being involved in the breach or misconduct, and of individuals who are aware of the breach or misconduct, where specified: full name, position, organisation; a factual description of the breach or misconduct, and a description of the circumstances of the incident, including the time and place of the incident;
• personal data of users authorised by Becken to use the application: full name, email address, role at Becken.
All communication between Trusty and the web browser takes place without processing the reporting person’s IP address, timestamps or any other metadata. To maintain the connection between the reporting person’s web browser and Trusty, a cookie containing only the session ID is stored on the reporting person’s desktop. The cookie is valid only until the end of the session and becomes invalid when the browser is closed.When submitting a report or additional information, the person making the report may also attach documents to the report. Please note that attached files may contain hidden personal data that could reveal your identity. Such data should therefore be removed if you wish to remain anonymous. If it is not possible to remove such data, we recommend sending the documents in PDF format or on paper to the contact details provided above.
The processing of personal data within the framework of the whistleblowing scheme is based on the legitimate interest of Becken or an affiliated company in detecting and preventing misconduct and, consequently, in averting damage and liability risks for the Becken Group (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). If a report received concerns an employee of Becken, the

The personal data processed will be deleted two years after the end of the relevant calendar year, following the final assessment of a reported incident, unless statutory retention obligations require it to be stored for a longer period.9.
Deletion/Restriction of access to your data
Unless otherwise stated in this privacy policy, we will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes set out herein or as required by any statutory retention period. Thereafter, the data in question will routinely be blocked or deleted in accordance with statutory provisions.10.
Other disclosure of data
Apart from the other cases set out in this privacy policy, your personal data will only be disclosed without your express prior consent in the following circumstances:• Where necessary to investigate unlawful or abusive use of the service or for the purposes of legal proceedings, personal data will be passed on to law enforcement authorities and, where applicable, to third parties who have suffered harm. However, this will only take place where there are concrete indications of unlawful or abusive behaviour. Data may also be disclosed where this serves to enforce the terms of use or other agreements.
