Hamburg / Frankfurt, January 18, 2024

  • As COO and Managing Director of Becken Holding GmbH, Markus Reinert FRICS will be responsible for organic and inorganic growth, among other things, from January 1, 2024
  • Major synergies between INDUSTRIA's asset and property management and Becken's management-to-ESG expertise
  • INDUSTRIA intends to attract more external clients for asset and property management services for residential and office real estate in the future
  • INDUSTRIA already manages external mandates, including Wealthcap

Becken, a specialist in project development, revitalization, and asset and investment management for commercial and residential real estate, is significantly expanding its asset and property management and ESG refurbishment divisions in collaboration with its subsidiary INDUSTRIA.

With this goal in mind, the management team of Becken Holding will be expanded to include Markus Reinert FRICS (age 58) as COO of Becken Holding, effective January 1, 2024. The experienced real estate expert joins from the asset and property manager IC Immobilien Gruppe, where he served as CEO. Going forward, he will act as the liaison between development and asset and property management at the Becken Holding level. His core responsibilities include, among other things, driving organic and inorganic growth of new asset and property management mandates and coordinating these business activities at INDUSTRIA with Becken’s Manage-to-ESG initiatives. Asset and property management activities in the residential sector are currently being consolidated at INDUSTRIA in Frankfurt. They are overseen there by INDUSTRIA Managing Director Jürgen Hau, who leads approximately 60 employees in this division.
Among other things, the group aims to attract new external clients for its asset and property management services. These clients are expected to come from both the residential real estate sector and, increasingly, the commercial sector. INDUSTRIA already manages external mandates. For example, the company handles the management of residential portfolios for Wealthcap, among others.

Jörn Stobbe, CEO of Becken Holding GmbH, says: "We see great potential in the combination of asset and property management with manage-to-ESG strategies and their implementation."

Markus Reinert, COO of Becken Holding GmbH, says: "I am looking forward to the new challenges in my area of activity within the Becken Group."

Before joining Becken, Markus Reinert worked for the IC Immobilien Group for more than eight years as Spokesman of the Management Board. Prior to that, he was Head of Property and Asset Management and Investor Services for Cushman & Wakefield LLP for over four years, responsible for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa). Prior to that, he worked for Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) for more than 20 years in various functions and positions, including seven years as Managing and International Director and member of the German Management Board.

Jürgen Hau, Managing Director of INDUSTRIA and responsible for property management, comments: "INDUSTRIA was founded around 70 years ago as a management company. In this respect, property management is in our DNA, so to speak. I look forward to further developing our portfolio together with Markus Reinert. The external mandates we have already won confirm that we are adapting our strategy. Particularly in times of crisis, there is a greater focus on portfolios and their management or further development in the direction of ESG compliance. I see great synergies with our shareholder, the Becken Group. We want to make INDUSTRIA a major player in property management in Germany."
